1973 Fiat 124 Sport CC for sale.
Runs and drives beautifully – some bodywork required.
Copy of For Sale advert from Tas Trading post in 2003 shows mileage as 61,000kms, so current 81,400kms looks to be true Kms as current owner has not used the car much. Advert also shows that the car was fitted with LSD, Alquatti cams and Koni sports suspension. Interior was retrimmed back then too.
Interior has held up well. Although non-original material was selected it looks the part. No rips or tears in seats and carpets look near new apart from some light wear on drivers side. Roof lining is good too and trimmed in grey velour to match the dark interior. Wood trim inserts are probably not a great addition. Dash was recovered back in the day and has a dash mat as well.
The body is a bit tired. Unfortunately, a sunroof was fitted prior to 2003. Not a great addition, but thankfully it doesn’t leak. As to be expected in an old Fiat, there is some rust. This seems to be mainly around the front and rear screens. The worst of it is around the A-pillars. There is also a small rust hole in the right side boot well. There are various marks and small dents around the car, but nothing major.
The car was repainted a long time ago and the paint isn’t great. The roof is starting to crack and ideally the car will need a repaint.
This car is a hoot to drive! It starts on the button and has a throaty burble from the cam and sports exhaust. It will make a great weekend track car and/or a solid base for a rolling restoration. The brake booster and master cylinder were replaced in 2021 with new imported parts.
The car is currently on ACT Historic Rego which is not transferable. It will be sold as unregistered.
